The profession system in
SWG Evolve expands on the original foundations of
Star Wars Galaxies while introducing new flexibility through Evolve’s unique
Classless Skill System. Instead of being permanently locked into a single class, players build their character by training expertise boxes and customizing their abilities to fit their preferred playstyle.
Evolve blends elements from both the
Combat Upgrade (CU) and the
New Game Enhancements (NGE) to create what we call
Combat Evolved (CE). This approach modernizes
Professions while maintaining the depth and player freedom that made the original game special. New skills, abilities, and attribute systems have been introduced, allowing for greater customization and build diversity than any previous version of the game.
Your character’s level is determined by the number of expertise boxes you have trained. Expertise is purchased using experience points earned through gameplay, allowing you to progress your character while shaping your build along the way. This system gives players the ability to specialize deeply or create hybrid builds depending on their goals.
Professions in SWG Evolve fall into three primary categories:
Combat Professions focus on dealing damage, tanking enemies, and supporting allies during battle. These professions excel in PvE content, world encounters, and
PvP combat while offering a wide range of combat styles including ranged, melee, and tactical play.
Crafting professions are responsible for producing the equipment, consumables, and technology that power the galaxy. From advanced weapons and armor to starships,
Structures, and components, crafters drive the player economy and supply the tools needed for success.
Social Professions bring life to the galaxy through entertainment and support. These professions specialize in buffing players, reducing battle fatigue, and creating vibrant social hubs such as cantinas where players gather, relax, and prepare for their next adventure.
Together, these professions form the backbone of the
player-driven ecosystem that defines SWG Evolve. Whether you choose to fight on the front lines, craft legendary equipment, or entertain the galaxy, every profession plays an important role in shaping the world.
Jedi are powerful Force-sensitive warriors who wield lightsabers and the abilities of the Force to overcome their enemies. Through multiple expertise trees such as
Force Sensitive, Jedi Guardian, Jedi Mystic, Jedi Sage, Jedi Forms, Jedi FRS, and Jedi Artisan, players can specialize in different combat styles, Force powers, and utility abilities.
Jedi also have access to additional support trees like
Beast Mastery and
