PvP Combat Changes
SWG Evolve includes a large number of combat adjustments designed to improve
PvP balance and reduce frustrating mechanics.
These changes are part of the broader Combat Evolved system.
Crowd Control Recourse System
To prevent players from being permanently locked down during
PvP fights, recourse timers were introduced for several crowd control effects.
Current recourse timers include:
- Stuns – 8 seconds
- Roots – 8 seconds
- Dazes – 12 seconds
These timers provide temporary immunity after the effect is applied.
Combat Queue Improvements
Several defensive abilities were adjusted to have higher combat queue priority.
This improves:
- Ability responsiveness
- Combat reliability
- Reduction of ability misfires
These improvements benefit both PvE and
PvP combat.
Stat Calculation Adjustments
Several combat calculations were updated to improve balance.
Examples include:
- Adjusted defensive stat scaling
- Improved proc reliability
- Updated stat formulas
These changes make combat more predictable and skill-based.
Control Effect Standardization
Many control effects were standardized to improve PvP fairness.
Changes include:
- Shared cooldown timers for some abilities
- Standardized control effect durations
- Reduced stacking of control effects
These changes reduce the likelihood of players being locked out of combat.
PvP Revive Adjustments
Revive mechanics were adjusted to reduce abuse during PvP combat.
Changes include:
- Standardized revive cooldowns
- Improved revive command organization
- Removal of redundant revive systems
Summary
Combat adjustments in Evolve aim to create fair, competitive PvP encounters.
Key improvements include:
